This Sunday: Polkadot Cadaver

Baltimore based cult favorites Polkadot Cadaver will release their new record Sex Offender on Rotten Records May 10th [preorder it here]. I get acquainted with the band via a couple of videos from their first record Purgatory Dance Party. The songs are taut and memorable and the videos, especially for the song “Chloroform Girl” are fascinating and disturbing at the same time. When I mention this to guitarist Jasen Stepp during our phone interview he laughs and says “we are a cheeky band, our songs are serious in nature but not in intent”.

Polkadot Cadaver will perform at The Grape Room this Sunday (April 17) with local support from Mikey Galactic, Barbarism and Cinema Cinema. The first 50 (FIFTY!) people at the door will get a FREE TICKET to our May 18 show with The Memorials (featuring Thomas Pridgen from Mars Volta).

This Friday (11/19) Counter Riot is having their CD Release party at The Grape Room in Manayunk, PA.  The bands Funk-Punk-Jam sound will have you hooked from the second you hear them.  Band members Anthony Lattanze, Ben Brown, Brendan McGeehan mix it up with an explosion of sounds with always changing dynamics and tempos that you wont know whats coming next.
