Hymn and Her’s Lucy Tight and Wayne Waxing demonstrate an interesting phenomenon on the hipster-redneck continuum. It is possible to get so profoundly trailer-park that you start to come around the other horizon, embodying a unique variety of sophistication. It’s sorta like how true right-wing libertarians and far-left liberals meet around the back on most non-money issues. As an entertainment writer, I find Hymn for Her is frustrating because they cross too many genres.
